Terms that mean something specific here.

Term	Meaning
Batch	One envelope of inbound rows, validated and applied as a unit. Never partially applied.
Reject	A batch that failed validation. Stored whole and replayable.
Dead letter	A message the notifier stopped trying to deliver after six attempts.
Cold	A row older than 90 days by its own timestamp, eligible for the archiver.
Degraded	Serving, but with a failing check. Not the same as down.
Tick	One scheduled firing of a job. A skipped tick is counted, not retried.
